About the Course

• With the Urdu-basis course you acquire a basic vocabulary that consists of more than 1,300 words.
• Thanks to the dialog texts and lots of expressions, the words are placed in a thematic context. So you learn the words correctly and in the context of complete sentences.
• All texts and vocabulary are said by native speakers, so that you learn the authentic language and how it’s actually spoken.
• You will receive a complete knowledge of the language because some new grammar is learned in every exercise.

Weekly Time Commitment 

The class will run once a week for approximately two hours.
Students can expect to dedicate at least half an hour daily at home to keep up with the proposed program.

• Week 1: Introducing the Urdu alphabet
• Week 2: Combined letters
• Week 3: Introducing single vowels
• Week 4: Letters of Madd (elongation)
• Week 5: Abbreviated single madd
• Week 6: Letters of Leen
• Week 7: Double vowels

What will I achieve at the end of the course?

Insha’Allah after the preliminary book is completed students will have a solid foundation to move onto level 2 of the Urdu program and begin to read.
